1. OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE
a) The vehicle that is rented under a contract containing these terms and conditions may be driven or operated by:
• persons over the age of 21 who have had their driver’s license for a minimum of two years;
• persons authorized to drive or operate a motor vehicle under a rental contract containing these terms and conditions.
2. RESERVATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
To reserve a vehicle, a 30% deposit has to be prepaid to the company’s account. The reservation comes into effect on the day of prepayment. The remainder of the payment is to be paid to the company no later than 3 days before taking delivery of the vehicle.
3. SECURITY DEPOSIT
When taking delivery of the rented vehicle, the renter must pay a security deposit to the lessor in the amount corresponding to the model and type of rented vehicle in order to cover the following costs:
• 1% straight deductible and the loss of the bonus from the comprehensive insurance coverage in the event of an accident,
• minor external and internal damage to the vehicle,
• missing equipment,
• damage not included in the comprehensive insurance coverage.
4. TAKING DELIVERY AND RETURNING OF THE RENTED VEHICLE
The renter shall be handed a technically flawless vehicle, the necessary equipment under statute, and a spare tire.
The fuel tank must be filled to the fullest at the time of taking delivery and returning of the vehicle. The renter will be charged for any missing amount of fuel by the lessor according to the current price list of Petrol’s service stations on the day of the return of the vehicle. When taking delivery of the vehicle, the renter is handed the entire documentation of the vehicle, but the insurance policy is only available for inspection at the company headquarters. The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition in which it was given.
5. CLEANING OF THE VEHICLE
The renter receives a clean vehicle, both internally and externally, and must return it in the same condition. Failing to do so, the renter will be charged cleaning costs in the amount of EUR 30.
6. THE LENGTH OF THE RENTAL
The duration of the rental is determined by the lessor and renter at the signing of the rental contract. In the event of exceeding the agreed-upon duration of the rental for more than 60 minutes, the renter will be charged for another day of rental. If the renter wishes to prolong the agreed-upon duration of the rental, he or she needs to notify the lessor at least 24 hours before the rental contract expires.
7. PAYMENT
The renter pays the rental according to the current price list. The price includes:
• a green card,
• mandatory insurance,
• comprehensive insurance coverage with 1% straight deductible,
• Slovenian vignette,
• car assistance.
8. REPAIR
The renter must notify the lessor of any damage to the vehicle. The vehicle is to be repaired only at authorized repair shops. In the event of parts replacement or any other vehicle repairs, it is mandatory to produce an invoice from the repair shop.
9. TRAVELING ABROAD
The renter must receive a written consensus from the lessor to be able to travel abroad. In the event of traveling abroad, the renter is obliged to park in a hotel or secured parking lot. The renter is not allowed to leave the keys or the registration permit inside the vehicle.
10. TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS, TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
By signing the rental contract the renter commits to obey traffic regulations and operate the vehicle in accordance with the traffic laws. In the event of traffic infractions during the rental of a vehicle the renter covers any costs incurred. The renter is obliged to contact the lessor in the case of a traffic accident. If the renter does not operate the vehicle in accordance with the traffic laws or causes a traffic accident under the influence of alcohol or other illegal substances, he/she is obligated to assume full responsibility and cover any costs incurred because of the incident.
11. DODATNE DOLOČBE
The driver is not allowed to leave the vehicle unlocked.
The contract is signed in duplicate. One copy goes to the renter, the other to the lessor. The renter agrees to allow the lessor to use his or her personal information when filling out contractual obligations and enforcing rights derived from the contractual relationship.
The district court in Domžale has jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms and conditions.
